Requirement: The President is required to transmit to each House of the Congress, annually, 60 days after the end of the fiscal year, and make available to the public reports containing: (1) the number of employees paid at a rate of basic pay equal to or greater than the rate of basic pay then currently paid for level V of the Executive Schedule and who are employed in the White House Office, the Executive Residence at the White House, the Office of the Vice President, the Domestic Policy Staff, or the Office of Administration, and the aggregate amount paid to such employees; (2) the number of employees employed in such offices with a basic rate of pay equal to or greater than the minimum rate for GS-16 of the General Schedule but less than the rate for level V of the Executive Schedule and the aggregate amount paid to such employees; (3) the number of employees in such offices whose basic rate of pay is less than the minimum for GS-16 and the aggregate amount paid to such employees; (4) the number of individuals detailed to such offices for more than 30 days, the number of days in excess of 30 each individual was detailed, and the aggregate amount of reimbursement; and (5) the number of individuals whose services as experts or consultants are procured for such office, the total number of days employed, and the aggregate amount paid to procure such services. Requirement: Each standing committee of the Senate and House of Representatives shall review and study, on a continuing basis, the application, administration, and execution of those laws, or parts of laws, the subject matter of which is within the jurisdiction of that committee. Such committees may carry out the required analysis, appraisal, and evaluation themselves or by contract, or may require a government agency to do so and furnish a report thereon to the Congress.
