gratefully give up ourselves to His service, with a constant, thankful, and affectionate remembrance of Him ever in our minds.

Grant that Jesus our Saviour may indeed see of the travail of His soul in our salvation, and be satisfied.

We pray that, being of the number of Thy faithful children, we may not experience the wrath of the Lamb, but be permitted in Thy good time to praise Him. for our redemption to all eternity, with the great multitude who have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Amen.

HEAVENLY Lord and Father,

we bless and praise Thee, that in Thy mercy Thou hast spared us to see another Easter. Our souls do magnify the Lord, and our spirits would rejoice in our risen Saviour. All praise be to Him who, as on this day, conquered death, and has opened the kingdom of heaven to all believers.

We rejoice that He liveth, who was dead; and we know that He liveth for evermore to help and bless us. And

when at Thy own holy Table we seek the Lord Jesus, who was crucified for us, may the blessed Spirit speak peace to our souls through the blood of the Lamb, and say to us, Fear not.

Give us all grace seriously to examine ourselves if we are setting our affection on things above, not on things on the earth. Help us, Lord, to rise to the life of righteousness, through Him who, as on this joyful day, rose from the dead. To Him be honour, praise, and glory, with Thee, O Father, and the Divine Spirit, for ever and for ever. Amen.

O

GOD, who art the Father of our

Lord Jesus Christ, we give Thee thanks and praise that, as on this day, He returned to His Father's throne; that He has passed into the highest heavens in that blessed body, now glorified, in which He suffered for us on the cross. We rejoice to think that our adorable Lord, exalted in glory, is the same Jesus who left this earth blessing His disciples.

He has, thanks be to God, entered

the most holy place, even heaven itself, there to plead our cause till time shall cease. We bless Thee that our Great High Priest ever liveth to make intercession for us; and while we remember His glorious ascension, we would look forward to His second coming, when He shall appear in His glory, and return to

us once more.

May we be of the number of those who look for His appearing. And grant us grace so to seek Him now as our Saviour, that we may then rejoice to see Him. Amen.
