Prayer for Christian Missions.

THOU, whose most dear Son is a

Light to lighten the Gentiles and the glory of Thy people Israel (for we are all one in Christ Jesus), grant us grace to remember our Lord's command to go and teach all nations. We acknowledge we have been verily guilty and careless in this matter, and we pray we may be so no more. Enable us to give our attention to this important subject, and to aid the work of missions with our alms, and, above all,

by our believing prayers. Bless abun dantly those good men, Thy missionary servants, who are making known the unsearchable riches of Christ in foreign. lands. Comfort and strengthen them in their efforts to bring unto the Great Shepherd His poor sheep scattered abroad in heathen lands, and may many jewels hereafter adorn the Saviour's crown from the dark places of the earth. Now, Lord, may we be permitted to have our share in this mighty work, and be of the number who shall help, according to our power, in turning many to righteousness. Finally, we bless Thy gracious name for those, Thy missionary servants, who have in our own time
