Grant us by the same Spirit to have a right judgment in all things, and evermore to rejoice in his holy comfort.

Deliver us from yielding to despair, impatience or complaints in whatever measure it may please Thee to visit us with affliction ; deliver us from pride, insolence,

covetousness,

uncleanness, and

Let

forgetfulness of Thee in the enjoyment of ease and prosperity. Let every change of condition which we may undergo, render us more meet to appear before Thee. us be instructed by Thee, how to be full and to be hungry, how to abound and to suffer need. In the midst of life let us think of death, and prepare for thy solemn judgment; in the hour of death, when our spiritual enemies will assail us the more in consequence of our great weakness, deliver us from extremity of pain, from overwhelming sorrow and insensibility of conscience; and in the day of judgment, when our secret sins shall be made known, deliver us from condemnation with

Satan, and from his accusations. Change thou our vile body that it may be like thy glorious body, according to the mighty working whereby thou art able to subdue all things unto thyself, and receive our souls into the paradise of God. In all time of our tribulation, in all time of our wealth, in the hour of death and in the day of judgment,
