PSALM CXIV. 1 WHEN Israel went out of Egypt The house of Jacob from a people of strange language, 2 Judah became His sanctuary, And Israel, His kingdom. 3 The sea beheld and fled; Jordan turned back. 4 The mountains leaped, like rams; The hills, like young sheep. 5 What aileth thee, O thou sea, that thou fleest? Thou Jordan, that thou turnest back? 6 Ye mountains, that ye leap like rams? Ye hills, like young sheep? 7 Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the LordAt the presence of the God of Jacob; 8 Who changed the rock into a pool of watersThe stony rock, into a fountain of waters. PSALM CXV. 1 NOT for our sake, O JEHOVAH-not for our sake, Out of regard to Thy truth! ? HE is their help and their shield. 12 JEHOVAH hath been mindful of us; HE blesseth-He blesseth the house of Israel, 13 HE blesseth those who reverence JEHOVAH, 14 JEHOVAH increaseth you You and your children! 15 Blessed are ye of JEHOVAH, Who hath made heaven and earth! 16 As for the heavens, the heavens belong unto JEHOVAH; But the earth He hath given unto the sons of Adam. 8 like unto them and senseless. -i. e. just as irrational 16 But the earth &c.
