Happy is the man who reverenceth JEHOVAHWho hath great delight in His commandments! 2 His seed shall be mighty upon earth;

The posterity of the upright shall be blessed.

3 Plenty and riches shall be in his house,

And the reward of his benevolence shall continue for ever. 4 There springeth up, in darkness, light unto the upright— Unto the kind and merciful and benevolent man.

5 Blessed is the man, who is kind and ready to lendWho regulateth his affairs with judgment.

6 For he shall never be moved;

The benevolent man shall be everlastingly remembered. 7 He shall not be afraid of any evil tidings;

His heart is fixed, trusting confidently in JEHOVAH.

8 His heart is sustained, he is without fear,

Until he shall have witnessed the fall of his enemies.

9 He distributeth freely, he giveth to the poor;

The reward of his benevolence shall continue for ever.
His horn shall be exalted with honour.

10 The wicked man shall see, and be indignant ;
He shall gnash his teeth and waste away.
The desire of the wicked shall come to nothing!

PSALM CXIII.

1 PRAISE ye JEHOVAH !

Praise, O ye servants of JEHOVAH
Praise ye the Name of JEHOVAH.
2 May the Name of JEHOVAH be blessed,
From henceforth even for ever!

3 From the east unto the west,

Praised be the Name of JEHOVAH!

4 JEHOVAH is exalted above all nations, His glory is above the heavens.

5 Who is like unto JEHOVAH, our God

6 Unto Him, who sitteth on high in the heavensWho looketh down upon the earth?

7 HE raiseth the needy out of the dust; He lifteth the poor from the dunghill;

8 To place him with princes

Even with the princes of His people.

9 HE causeth the barren mistress of a house, To be a joyful mother of children!

Praise ye JEHOVAH !

PSALM CXIV.

1 WHEN Israel went out of Egypt

The house of Jacob from a people of strange language,

2 Judah became His sanctuary,

And Israel, His kingdom.

3 The sea beheld and fled;

Jordan turned back.

4 The mountains leaped, like rams;

The hills, like young sheep.

5 What aileth thee, O thou sea, that thou fleest? Thou Jordan, that thou turnest back?

6 Ye mountains, that ye leap like rams? Ye hills, like young sheep?

7 Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the LordAt the presence of the God of Jacob;

8 Who changed the rock into a pool of watersThe stony rock, into a fountain of waters.

PSALM CXV.

1 NOT for our sake, O JEHOVAH-not for our sake,
But for Thy Name's sake, display Thy glory;
Out of regard to Thy loving-kindness—

Out of regard to Thy truth!

? Wherefore should the heathen say: "Where now is their God?"

3 Our God is in heaven;

HE doeth whatsoever it pleaseth Him.

4 Their idols are silver and gold

5

The work of men's hands.

They have mouths, yet they speak not;
They have eyes, yet they see not;

6 They have ears, yet they hear not;
They have noses, yet they smell not;
7 They have hands, yet they handle not;
They have feet, yet they walk not—

Nor do they breathe through their throats.
8 Like unto them, are those who make them-
All who place confidence in them.

9 O Israel, trust thou in JEHOVAH!

He is their help and their shield.

10 O house of Aaron, trust ye in JEHOVAH!

11

HE is their help and their shield.

0 ye, who reverence JEHOVAH, trust in JEHOVAH !

HE is their help and their shield.

12 JEHOVAH hath been mindful of us;

HE blesseth-He blesseth the house of Israel,
HE blesseth the house of Aaron;

13 HE blesseth those who reverence JEHOVAH,
Both the small and the great.

14 JEHOVAH increaseth you

You and your children!

15 Blessed are ye of JEHOVAH,

Who hath made heaven and earth!

16 As for the heavens, the heavens belong unto JEHOVAH; But the earth He hath given unto the sons of Adam.

8 like unto them and senseless.

vv. 68.

17 It is not the dead who can praise JEHOVah, Nor any who go down into the silent grave. 18 But we will bless JEHOVAH,

Henceforth even for ever.

Praise ye JEHOVAH !

PSALM CXVI.

1 I AM delighted that JEHOVAH hath heard My supplicating voice!

2 Because He hath inclined His ear unto me,

I will call upon Him as long as I live.

3 The snares of death hemmed me in,

And the bands of the grave took hold of me;
I experienced distress and affliction.

4 Then I called upon the Name of JEHOVAH: (saying)
I pray Thee now, O JEHOVAH, deliver me!

5 Gracious is JEHOVAH and kind, Yea, our God is merciful.

6 JEHOVAH guardeth the simple;

I was enfeebled, and He helped me.

7 Again be tranquil, O my soul,

For JEHOVAH hath dealt kindly with thee.

8 Truly, Thou hast rescued me from deathMine eyes from tears

My feet from being overthrown.
