CHAPTER 1.

AN ACT to extend the time for the collection of taxes in the city of Brooklyn, and in the town of Bushwick.

Passed January 7, 1839.

The People of the State of New-York, represented in Senate and Assembly, do enact as follows:

§ 1. If the several collectors of taxes of the city of Brook- Time extendlyn, shall respectively renew their security to the satisfaction ed in Brookof the common council of said city, the time for the collection and making return of taxes in the said city, is extended to the first day of April next; and such time for the purposes aforesaid is extended to each one of the said collectors who shall renew his security as above mentioned.

§ 2. It shall be the duty of the clerk of the said common County treacouncil, upon the renewal of such security as aforesaid, surer to forthwith to give notice thereof to the treasurer of the county of Kings.

If the collector of taxes of the town of Bushwick, Time extendin the county of Kings, shall renew his security to the satisfaction of the supervisor of the said town, the time for the collection and making return of taxes in the said town is extended to the tenth day of March next; and it shall be the duty of the said supervisor, upon the renewal of such security as aforesaid, forthwith to give notice thereof to the treasurer of the said county of Kings.
