The uncorrupted Preservation of the
New Teftament.
The books extant at present in the New Testa-
ment are the fame writings which were
originally compofed by the authors whose
names they bear
This is proved
1. From their contents
2. Because an univerfal corruption of these writ-
ings was impoffible: nor can the leaft
veftige of fuch a corruption be found in
hiftory
3. From the agreement of the manuscripts.
4. From the agreement of the old verfions, and
quotations found in the ecclefiaftical fa-
thers
