To Thee all angels loudly cry,
The noble and victorious host
From day to day, O Lord, do we
Vouchsafe, O Lord, we humbly pray,
Arise, O God, judge the earth.
GOD in the great assembly stands,
Of kings and lordly states; Among the gods, on both his hands,
He judges and debates.
How long will ye pervert the right
With judgment false and wrong, Favoring the wicked by your might,
Who thence grow bold and strong ?
Regard the weak and fatherless;
Despatch the poor man's cause; And raise the man in deep distress,
By just and equal laws.
Defend the poor and desolate ;
And rescue from the hands Of wicked men the low estate
Of him that help demands.
They know not, nor will understand,
In darkness they walk on:
And out of order gone.
I said that ye were gods, yea, all
The sons of God Most High; But ye
shall die like men, and fall As other princes die.
Rise, God; judge thou the earth in might,
This wicked earth redress;
The nations all possess.
For His mercy endureth for ever.
LET us with a gladsome mind,
Let us blaze his name abroad,
O let us his praises tell,
Who, by wisdom, did create
Who, by all-commanding might,
Caused the golden-tressed sun,
The horned moon to shine by night, ’Mid her spangled sisters bright: For his mercies aye endure, Ever faithful, ever sure.
He his chosen ones did bless,
He hath with a piteous eye
All things living he doth feed,
Let us therefore warble forth
That his mansion hath on high,
We wait for thee, O Lord.
CAUSE us to see thy goodness, Lord;
To us thy mercy show;
Ănd life in us renew.
And now, what God the Lord will speak,
I will go straight and hear,
And to his saints full dear.
To his dear saints he will speak peace ;
But let them never more
To trespass as before.
Salvation is at hand;
To dwell within our land.
Mercy and Truth that long were missed,
Now joyfully are met; Sweet Peace and Righteousness have kissed,
And hand in hand are set.
Truth from the earth, like to a flower,
Shall bud and blossom then;
Look down on mortal me
