PSALMS. 1. BLESSED | is-the | man That walketh not in the un godly, counsel—of | the Nor standeth in the way-of❘ sinners; Nor sitteth | in-the seat of-the | scornful: But | his-de | light Is in the law of the | Lord; And in-his | law Doth he | medi-tate | day—and | night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the | rivers of water, That bringeth | forth-his | fruit-in his | season; His leaf also shall-not wither; And whatsoever-he | doeth-shall | prosper. The ungodly are not so: But are like the chaff which the | wi-nd | driveth away. Therefore the ungodly shall not | stand-in the | judgment, Nor sinners in the congre | ga-tion | of—the | righteous. For the Lord knoweth the way of-the | righteous; But the way of the-un | godly—shall | perish. 2. HEAR me when—I | call, O | God—of my | right-eous | ness: Thou hast enlarged me when I was | in-dis | tress; Have mercy up on me,-and | hear-my | prayer. O ye sons- -of men, How long will ye turn my glo-ry | in-to | shame ? How long will | ye-love | vanity, And se-ek | af―ter | leasing? But know that the Lord hath set apart him that is godly for himself: -- The Lord will hear when I | call-unto | him. Stand in awe and | sin not: Commune with your own heart upon your be-d, and-be | still. Offer the sacrifices of | righteousness, Who will show-usa-ny good? Lord, lift-thou | up The light of thy countenance-up❘ on us. -- I will both lay me down in | peace-and | sleep: For thou, Lord, only | makest-me | dwell—in | safety. 3. O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in | all-the earth! Who hast set thy | glory-a | bove-the heavens. Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength be | cause of-thine | enemies, That thou mightest still the | ene-my | andthe avenger. When I consider thy heavens, the | work ofthy fingers, The moon and the stars-which | thou hastor dained; What is man, that thou art | mindful-of | him? And the son of | man, that-thou | visit-est | him? For thou hast made him a little lower thanthe angels, And hast crowned | him-with | glory-and | honour. Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of-thy | hands; Thou hast put | all-things | under—his | feet : All | sheep-and | oxen, Yea, and the | beasts of the | field; The fowl of the air, and the | fish of-the | sea, And whatsoever passeth through-the | paths of the seas. O Lord-our | Lord, How excellent is thy | name-in | all-the | earth! 4. PRESERVE | me,-O | God: For in thee-do I | put-my | trust. O my soul, thou hast said unto the Lord, I Thou art-my | Lord: My goodness ex | tend-eth | not-to | thee ; But to the saints that are | in-the | earth, And to the excellent, in whom-is | all-my de light. Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after an | other | god: Their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names-in | to-my | lips. The Lord is the portion of mine inheritance | and of-my | cup: Thou | mai-n | tainest-my | lot. The lines are fallen unto me in | pleasant | places: Yea, I have-a | good-ly | heritage. I will bless the Lord, who hath | given-me | counsel : My reins also in | struct-me | in the-night | seasons. I have set the Lord | always-be | fore me: Because he is at my right | hand,—I | shall not— be moved. Therefore my heart is glad, and my | gloryrejoiceth: My flesh also-shall | rest—in | hope. For thou wilt not leave my soul-in | hell; Neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy | One-to | see-corruption. Thou wilt show me the path-of | life : There are pleasures-for | ev-er 5. THE Lord is my shepherd; I shall—not | want. He maketh me to lie-down | in-green | pastures: He leadeth me beside the | sti-II | waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteous-ness | for-his | name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the | shadow of death, I will fear no evil : For thou-art with me; Thy | rod and—thy | staff-they | comfort me. Thou preparest a | table-be | fore me Surely goodness-and | mercy Shall follow me | all-the | days of my life: And I will dwell In the house of the | Lord-for | ever. |
