He shall spare the | poor-and | needy, And shall save-the souls of the needy. He shall redeem their soul from de | ceit-and | violence : And precious shall their | blood—be | in—his | sight. And he shall | live, And to him shall be given-of the | gold-of | Sheba : Prayer also shall be made for | him-con | tinually; And daily-shall | he—be | praised. There shall be an handful of | corn-in the | earth Upon the to-p | of-the | mountains; The fruit thereof shall shake-like | Lebanon 1 And they of the city shall | flourish—like | grass-of the earth. His name shall en | dure for | ever : His name shall be continued-as | long asthesun: And men shall be | blessed-in | him : : Blessed be the Lord God, the | God-of | Israel, 29. TRULY God is good-to | Israel, For I was envious | at-the | foolish, When I saw the-prosperity-of the | wicked. For there are no | bands in-their | death; They are not in trouble as | other | men ; men. er | Therefore pride compasseth them about asa chain; Violence cover-eth | them-as a garment. Their eyes stand | out-with | fatness: They have more-than | heart-could wish. They are corrupt, and speak wickedly con cerning-op pression; They spea-k | loftily. They set their mouth against-the | heavens; And their tongue | walk-eth | through-the earth. Therefore his people re | tu-rn | hither: And waters of a full | cup-are wrung | outto them. And they say, | How doth-God | know? Behold, these are the ungodly, who | prosperin the world; The y-increase-in | riches. Verily I have cleansed my | heart-in | vain, If I say, I will-speak | thus; Behold, I should offend against the gener | ation of-thy | children. 1 When I thought to-know | this, It was too pain-ful | for me, Until I went into the | sanctuary-of | God; Surely thou didst set them in slippery | places: Thou castedst them | down | into—de | struction. How are they brought into desolation | as ina moment! They are utterly-con | sumed-with | terrors. As a dream when one- -a | waketh; So, O Lord, when thou awakest, thou shaltdespise their image. Thus my heart-was | grieved, Nevertheless, I am continu-ally with thee: Whom have I in heaven-but | thee? And there is none upon earth that | I-de | sire-beside thee. My flesh and my heart | faileth: But God is the strength of my heart, and my | po-r|tion-for | ever. For, lo, they that are far from | thee-shall | perish : Thou hast destroyed all them that | go—a | whor-ing from thee. But it is good for me to draw | near-to | God: I have put my trust in the Lord God, that | Imay declare-all thy | works. 30. BOW down thine ear, O | Lo-rd, | hear me ; servant-that | Be merciful unto me,-O | Lord: | For I cry unto thee daily. For unto thee, O Lord, | do-I | lift up-my | soul. For thou, Lord,-art | good, And | ready | to-for | give; And plenteous-in | mercy Unto all them—that | call-up | on thee. Give ear, O Lord, | unto-my prayer; And attend to the cations. voice-of my | sup-pli | In the day of my trouble I will | call-up | on thee; For | thou-wilt | an—swer | me. Among the gods There is none like unto | thee,-O | Lord : Li | -ke | unto thy | works. All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee,-O | Lord ; And shall glo-ri | fy-thy | name. For thou art great, and doest | wondrous | things: Th|ou-art | God—a | lone. |
