Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk inI thy truth: Unite my heart-to | fear-thy | name. I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with | all— my heart: And I will glorify thy | name-for | ev-er | more. For great is thy | mer-cy | toward me: And thou hast delivered my soul-from the | low-est hell. O God, the proud are | risen-a | gainst me, And the assemblies of violent men have sought after my soul, and | have not-set | theebefore them. But thou,-O | Lord, Art a God gracious, full of compassion,-and | Long suffering, And plenteous-in | mercy-and | truth. O | turn-unto | me, And have mercy-up on me; Give thy strength | unto-thy | servant, And save the | son of-thine | handmaid. Show me a token-for | good; That they which hate me may see it,-and | be a shamed: Because-thou, | Lord, Hast holpen | me,-and | comfort-ed | me. 31. I CRIED unto | God-with my voice, ear-unto me. In the day of my trouble I | sought-the | Lord, My sore ran in the night, and ceased not: my soul re | fused | to-be | comforted. I remembered God, | and-was | troubled : I complained, and my | spirit-was | ov-er | whelmed. Thou holdest mine | ey-es | waking: I am so troubled | that-I | can—not | speak. I have considered the | days-of | old, I call to remembrance my song-in the night: I commune with mine own heart: and my | spirit-made | diligent | search. Will the Lord cast | off-for | ever? Hath God for gotten-to be gracious? mercies ? And I said, This is-my in | firmity: But I will remember the years of the right | hand-of the-Most | High. I will remember the | works-of the | Lord: Surely I will re | member-thy | wonders—of | old. I will meditate also of | all-thy | work, Thy way, O God, is | in-the | sanctuary: Thou hast with thine arm redeemed-thy | people, The sons of Jacob-and | Joseph. | The waters saw thee, O God, the waters saw thee: they were-a | fraid : The depths | also-were | troubled. The clouds poured out water : the skies | sent out a sound: Thine arrows | al-so | went-a | broad. The voice of thy thunder was in the heaven: the lightnings lightened—the | world : The earth trembled-and | shook. Thy way is in the sea, and thy path in the | great waters; And thy | foot-steps | are not | known. 32. HOW amiable are thy | tabernacles, My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth, for the | courts of the | Lord. My heart and my flesh crieth | out-for the | living | God. Yea, the sparrow hath | found-an | house, And the swallow a nest for herself, where | shemay lay-her | young, Even thine altars, O Lord-of hosts, My | Ki-ng, and-my | God. Blessed are they that | dwell in-thy | house : Who passing through the valley of Baca, | make it a well; The rain al-so | filleth-the pools. They go from strength-to | strength; Every one of them in Zion ap | peareth-be | fo-re | God. O Lord God of hosts, | hear-my | prayer ; Behold, O God,—our | shield, And look upon the | face-of | thine-a | nointed. For a day in-thy | courts Is better than a thousand. I had rather be a door-keeper in the house of— my God, Than to dwell-in the | tents-of | wickedness. For the Lord God is a | sun-and | shield: O Lord of hosts, blessed is the | man-that | trusteth-in | thee. 33. LORD, thou hast been favourable | unto thy | land: Thou hast brought | back the cap | tivity—of | Jacob. Thou hast forgiven the iniquity —of thy | people; Thou hast cover-ed | all-their | sin. Thou hast taken away | all-thy | wrath : Thou hast turned thyself from the fierce-ness | of-thine anger. Turn us, O God of our-sal | vation, And cause thine | an-ger | toward us-to | cease. |
