Wilt thou be angry | with us-for | ever? Wilt thou draw out thine | anger-to | allgenerations? Wilt thou not revive | us-a | gain; That thy people | may-re | joice-in | thee? Show us thy mercy,-O | Lord, What God-the | Lord-will | speak : For he will speak peace unto his people | and to his saints: But let them not | turn-again-to | folly. Surely his salvation is nigh him; them—that | fear That glory-may | dwell in-our | land. Mercy and truth are | met-together; Righteousness and | peace-have | kissed-each | other. Truth shall spring | out of-the earth; And righteousness heaven. shall-look | down-from | Yea, the Lord shall give | that—which is | good; And our | land-shall | yield-her | increase. Righteousness shall | go-be | fore him, And shall set us-in the way—of his | steps, 34. THE Lord reigneth, he is clothed with majesty ; The Lord is clothed with strength, where with-he hath | girded-him | self: The world | also-is es | tablished, That-it cannot-be moved. Thy throne is es | tablished-of | old: The floods have lifted up, O Lord, the floods have lifted-up their voice: The floods-lift up-their 1 waves. The Lord on high is mightier than the noise of | ma-ny waters, Yea, than the migh-ty | waves—of the | sea. house,-O | Lord,— for ever. 35. O COME, let us sing | unto-the | Lord: Let us make a joyful noise to the | rock-of | our-salvation. Let us come before his presence with | thanks | giving, And make a joyful | noise-unto | him—with | psalms. For the Lord is a great | God, And a great | King-a | bove-all | gods. In his hands are the deep | places—of the | earth; The strength of the | hills-is | hi-s | also. The sea is his and-he | made it :. And his hands | formed-the | dr-y | land. For he is our | God: And we are the people of his pasture, and the | sheep-of | his hand. To-day if ye will hear his voice, As in the pro-vocation, And as in the day of tempt | a-tion | in-the | derness: When your fathers | tempt-ed me, Proved me, and I saw-my | work. Forty years | long Was I grieved with this-gene | ration,--and | said, It is a people that do | err in-their | heart, Unto whom I | sware in-my | wrath, That they should not | en-ter | into-my | rest. 36. LORD, thou hast been our dwelling place in | all-generations. Before the forth, mountains-were brought | Or ever thou hadst formed the | earth-and the | world, Even from everlasting to ever | last-ing, | thou— art | God. Thou turnest man-to de Istruction; And sayest, Re | turn,-ye children-of | men. For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when-it is | past, And as a watch-in the night. Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they | are as-a | sleep: In the morning they are like | grass-which | grow-eth up. In the morning it flourisheth, and | grow-eth | up; In the evening | it is-cut | down, -and | withereth. For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath-are we troubled. | Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of-thy | counte nance. For all our days are passed away | in-thy | wrath: We spend our years-as a | tale that—is | told. The days of our years are threescore | yearsand ten; And if by reason of | strength-they be | fourscore years, Yet is their strength | labour-and | sorrow; For it is soon cut off,-and we | fly-a | way. Who knoweth the power of-thine | anger? Even according to thy | fea-r, | so is-thy | wrath. So teach us to | number-our | days, That we may apply—our hearts-unto | wisdom. Return, O Lord,-how | long? And let it repent thee-con | cerning-thy servants. O satisfy us early | with thy | mercy; That we may rejoice and be | gla―d | all—our | days. Make us glad according to the days wherein | thou hast-afflicted us, And the years where | in-we | have-seen | evil. Let thy work appear | unto-thy | servants, And let the beauty Of the Lord-our | God-be up on us; And establish thou the work of our handsupon us; Yea, the work of our hands-establishthou❘ it. |
