apothecary, tempered together, pure and holy. And thou shalt beat some of it very small, and put of it before the testimony in the tabernacle of the congregation, where I will meet with thee: it shall be unto you most holy. And as for the perfume which thou shalt make, ye shall not make to yourselves according to the composition thereof; it shall be unto thee holy for the LORD. Heb. ix, 18-23. Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood. For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hys-op, and sprinkled both the book and all the people, Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God bath enjoined unto you. NESSES.

Lev. v, 2, 8. Or, if a soul touch any unclean thing, whether it be a carcase of an unclean beast, or a carcase of unclean cattle, or the carcase of unclean creeping things, and if it be hidden from him; he also shall be unclean, and guilty.

Or if he touch the uncleanness of man, whatsoever uncleanness it be that a man shall be defiled withal, and it be hid from him; when he knoweth of it, then he shall be guilty.

Lev. vii, 20, 21. But the soul that eateth of the flesh of the sacrifice of peace-offerings that pertain unto the LORD, having his uncleanness upon him, even that soul shall be cut off from his people. Moreover, the soul that shall touch any unclean thing, as the uncleanness of man, or any unclean beast, or any abominable unclean thing, and eat of the flesh of the sacrifice of peace-offerings which pertain unto the LORD, even that soul shall be cut off froin his people.

Lev. xv, 4--7, 9, 10, 12. Every

Lev. xix, 22. And whatsoever the unclean person toucheth shall be unclean, and the soul that toucheth it shall be unclean until even.

And when the sun is down, he shall be clean, and shall afterward eat of the holy things, because it is his food.

ABLUTIONS.

Num. xix. 11-15. He that toucheth the dead body of any man Exod. xix, 10, 11. And the LORD shall be unclean seven days. He said unto Moses, Go unto the shall purify himself with it on the people, and sanctify them to-day third day, and on the seventh day and to-morrow, and let them wash he shall be clean: but if he purify their clothes, And be ready not himself the third day, then against the third day: for the third the seventh day he shall not be clean. Whosoever toucheth they the LORD will come down in

When they go into the tabernacle of the congregation, they shall wash with water, that they die not; or when they come near to the altar to minister, to burn offering made by fire unto the LORD: So they shall wash their hands and their feet, that they die not: and it shall be a statute for ever to them, even 10 him and to his seed throughout their generations.

Exod. x1, 12, 31, 32. And thou shalt bring Aaron and his sons unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and wash them with water. And Moses, and Aaron, and his sons, washed their hands and their feet thereat. When they went into the tent of the congregation, and when they came near unto the altar, they washed; as the Lord commanded Moses.

Lev. vi, 27, 28. Whatsoever shall touch the flesh thereof shall be holy; and when there is sprinkled of the blood thereof upon any garment, thou shalt wash that whereon it was sprinkled in the holy place. But the earthen ves

sel wherein it is sodden shall be broken: and if it be sodden in a be both brasen pot, it shall scoured, and rinsed in water.

Lev. viii. 6. And Moses brought Aaron and his sons and washed them with water.

Lev. xiv, 2-7, 49--53. This shall be the law of the leper in the day of his cleansing: He shall be brought unto the priest. And the priest shall go forth out of the camp: and the priest shall look, and, behold, if the plague of leprosy be healed in the leper; Then shall the priest command to take for him that is to be cleansed two birds alive and clean, and cedar-wood, and scarlet, and byssop. And the priest shall command that one of the birds be killed in an earthen vessel over running water. As for the living bird, he shall take it, and the cedar-wood, and the scarlet, and the hyssop, and shall dip them and

the living bird in the blood of the bird that was killed over the running water; And he shall sprinkle upon him that is to be cleansed
