It will be the Lot of the Wicked in the Judg. ment, to be openly disowned and condemned by Jesus Christ. And that will be done, by Sentence pronounced and published with his Mouth, from the Throne: Matth. vii. 23. ' And then will I

profess unto them, I never knew you : depart * from me, ye that work iniquity.' Chap. xxv. 41. That Sentence will be, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels, Matth. xxv. 41. The Grounds on which they will be condemned, are, their Sins and Ungodlinels in their Hearts, Lips, and Lives : Rom. ii. 16. ' In the day when God shall judge

the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel.' Jude 14. 15. ' Behold, the Lord cometh, with ten thousands of his saints, to execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them, of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches, which ungodly finners have spoken against him.' The Evidence on which their Condemnation shall proceed, will be,

elear Evidence, and full Conviction of their own Consciences : Rom. ii. 15. ( Which shew the work

of the law written in their hearts, their conscience

The particular Place and Time of the general Judgment are not known to Men: Luke xvii. 37.

thief in the night.' The Time of it is kept se. cret, that Men may watch, and be always ready: Matth. xxiv. 42. Watch therefore, for ye know

think not, the Son of man cometh.' Immediately after the Judgment, follows the full Execution of the Sentences, and the End of the World by the general Conflagration : Matth. xxv. ult. And these shall go away into everlast.

"fall melt with fervent heat; the earth also, and • the works that are therein, shall be burnt up." But God will make new Heavens and a new Earth : 2 Pet. iii. 13. 'Nevertheless we, according to his

promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, « wherein dwelleth 'righteousness.'

The Party that shall go off first from the Place of the Judgment, is, the Damned, the Saints seeing all their Enemies turn their Backs, Matth. xxv. ult. forecited. The fearful Sentence will be put in Execution against them, in their being cast out from the favourable Presence of God, and the glorious Fellowship of Christ, his Saints and Angels, into Hell: Rev. xx. ult. . And whosoever was not « found written in the book of life, was cast into

the lake of fire. Compared with Matth. xxv. 41. Then shall he say also unto them on the left • hand, Depart from me, ye cutsed, into ever

lafting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.' And Luke xvi. 26. 'And besides all this between

us and you there is a great gulf fixed : so that they which would pass from hence to you, can

neither can they pafs to us, that would • come from thence. And they will be punished there with unspeakable Torments both of Body and Soul: 2 Thef.i. 7. 8.9. ' The Lord Jesus shall • be revealed from heaven, with his mighty an

into life maimed, than having two hands, to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenchsed: where their worm dieth not, and the fire

is not quenched.' Rev. xx. 10. And the de. i vil that deceived them, was cast into the lake of « fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false

prophet are ; and shall be tormented day and

night, for ever and ever.' - And in that their miserable State, for Eternity, they will have the Society of the Devil and his Angels, Matth. xxv. 41. forecited.

The completing Benefit of Christ's Purchase Believers shall receive after the Judgment, is, that they shall be made perfectly blessed, in full enjoying of God to all Eternity: They will go away with Christ, after the Judgment, into Heaven, the Seat of the Blessed : 1 Thel. iv. 17. • Then we which are alive and remain, fhall be 'caught up together with them in the clouds, to

meet the Lord in the air : and so fhall we e. ver be with the Lord.' Matth. xxv, ult. The

righteous shall go away into life eternal.' Psal. xlv. 15. With gladness and rejoicing shall they • be brought : they shall enter into the king's pa

lace. And they will be there, in a state of perfect Blessedness, or compleat Happiness, both in Soul and Body : Matth. xiii. 43. * Then fhall

dom of their Father.' They will be made perfectly blessed, or compleatly happy, in their be. ing for ever freed from all Sin and Misery, Want and Imperfection, and filled to the Brim with all their Souls can defire : Eph. v. 25. 26. 27. Christ

loved the church, and gave himself for it: that ? he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing

to himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy, and without blemish.'

Rev. xxi. 4. And God fall wipe away all tears from their

eyes ; and there shall be no more death, neither ' forrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any

more pain : for the former things are passed a ' way.' verf. 7. 'He that overcometh, fall in. • herit all things; and I will be his God, and he • shall be my son.' Chap. vii. 16. 17. 'They • shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more, 6 neither shall the sun light on them, nor any

heat. For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne, shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters : and God shall wipe

away all tears from their eyes. What shall make them perfectly blessed, or compleatly happy, is, full enjoying of God to all Eternity: Pfal. xvi. ult. ' In thy presence is fulness of joy, at thy

right hand there are pleasures for evermore. And xvii. ult. As for me, I will behold thy face

in righteousness : I shall be satisfied, when I a.

wake, with thy likeness. Rev. xxi. 7. above cited. They will enjoy God in Heaven, by Sight of the divine Glory, to the compleat satisfying of their Understanding; and by Experience of the divine Goodness, to the compleat satisfying of their Will: Matth. v. 8. ' Blessed the pure in

heart: for they shall see God.' Compared with Psal. xvii. ult. above cited. Rev. vii. 16. 17. forecited. The Sight they will have of the divine Glory, is, a full and clear Knowledge of God, as by seeing Face to Face: Exod. xxxiii. 18. "And Moses said, I beseech thee, fhew me thy
