Sida 15 - ... party, the supreme court shall have original jurisdiction. In all the other cases before mentioned, the supreme court shall have appellate jurisdiction, both as to law and fact, with such exceptions, and under such regulations as the congress shall make.

Sida 17 - The United States shall guarantee to every state in the Union a republican form of government ; and shall protect each of them against invasion ; and on application of the legislature, or of the executive (when the legislature cannot be convened,) against domestic violence.
Sida 14 - United States whose appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by law: but the Congress may by law vest the appointment of such inferior officers as they think proper in the President alone, in the courts of law, or in the heads of departments.
Sida 21 - And if the house of representatives shall not choose a president whenever the right of choice shall devolve upon them, before the fourth day of March next following, then the vice president shall act as president, as in the case of the death or other constitutional disability of the president.
