holier nature, that we should not yield to the
desires which come of themselves, but to those
which we have received by prayer. The sin
unto death. The same sin followed by different

not our Father's will that we should perish, but
come unto Him and be for ever blessed.-The

REFLECTIONS FOR SATURDAY

MORNING.

Evidences of the soul's sensibility of suffering
or happiness separate from bodily injury or dis-
tress. One spiritual sense which tells of an here-
after. A part of our earthly bodies dead and
buried, without any diminution of our being, or
sympathy with our existence: in like manner
we shall put off the whole body of sin.-Our
love of life a presage of immortality.-The bless-
edness of dying daily.-Moments in which we
have seemed absent from the body.-The in-
ference of our future existence from the evi-

dences of a spiritual regeneration whilst we are

on the earth.-Proofs of the immortality of man

from the doctrine and resurrection of Jesus

Christ the prophecy and the fulfilment of the

prophecy. The great cause of our thankfulness

that we have received existence from a Being of

all goodness.-Duty of improving the admoni-

tion of the divisions of time.-The certainty

which makes every loss a gain and every suffer-
