67 hand.-I will arise and go to my Father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee; and am no more worthy to be called thy son.-Enter not into judgment with thy servant, O Lord; for in thy sight shall no man living be justified.--If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us; but if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just, to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." “ Here I have shewn thee the standard they must all come to, and then they will come to the standard of everlasting happiness : for know I have told thee My arms are open all men to receive: To act like faithful soldiers in the fight; A communication given in July, 1797, taken from the Second Book of Sealed Prophecies, page 114. “ So thus will come the hearts of men; Like fevers they will rise “ And all's before our eyes, “ We are but burthened more; “ We've wasted all our store !" Their sorrows they will come, They'll see it in the land : "Tis nought but beggary here : But out the rags I'll tear; The floors I'll make more clean, For in the light shall come; And down they all shall drop: 69 The cob can never hurt As empty doth appear, What furniture is here Appear in every mind ! I now do see my land; Till I have joind the two; The Gentiles and the Jews; The nations all must come." Here I shall give the meaning of my Father's house: As he lived by himself, I made it a custom to go in the summer to make his house thoroughly clean and wash the floors : the glass was broken, but the landlady would not mend it; so it was stopped up with rags, which I pulled out to dry the floors. I was answered as follows: “ The windows I shall all unhang, As thou has now begun; The days are hastening on: And rags do so appear, When winter doth appear. And to the nation come: 1 say, in every land; With rags and paper here; When winter doth appear; The rags will tumble down; No safety can be found, They've like thy Father done ; They patch my people up with lies For to keep out the sun.. Because tbe place is dark; I say, my people be- And thou will see more clear; Because they are broken there; Or feel the piercing wind. "Tis perfect like mankind : And darken'd every mind ; To beggar all mankind; So beggarly to man, The way that they go on." “What is thy head so very weak In things that are so plain? And all the rags To every nation come; It must to thee be known; That from their garments come ; To bring my land to shame. As those do now appear? To mend the glass that's here? And I may say the same; To say my words are come; My Gospel to fulfil ? Their ragged garments still I mean; 71 Are patch'd and staff'd in every hole, To darken all mankind; And darken every mind; But who allow repair? Are all the wise men bere; My anger fast will smoke; And down the rags shall drop; My floors for to make dry; Now in this house of clay; And vindicate his cause; To vindicate his laws. To hear their foolish tales; If I their wounds do heal. And every man doth err; And spoil the vineyards here; To reason I'll begin; I shall explain the thing: To cut my Bible high, And here's the mystery : To cut the fuel low, And all did own 'twas so; And now your weakness see ; And cut the stumps away; Close to the root I'll surely go, Till I have made it plain; The barren wilderness you'll see, That man could never prune; |
