A good copy in the original binding, slightly foxed as usual of one of the rarest of state histories. The story of Indian conflict and massacre is narrated with great detail and minuteness, filling much the larger portion of the work. The story of the formation of the State of Franklin and the civil war which ensued is a chapter of American history but little known, although scarcely exceeded in interest by any other.
