17 ¶ And thou fon of man, thus faith captivity, in the beginning of the year, the Lord GOD, Speak unto every feather- in the tenth day of the month, in the ed fowl, and to every beaft of the field, fourteenth year after that the city was Affemble yourselves, and come; gather fmitten, in the self-fame day the hand of yourselves on every fide to my facrifice the LORD was upon me, and brought me that I do facrifice for you, even a great thither. facrifice upon the mountains of Ifrael, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood.

18 Ye fhall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan.

19 And ye fhall eat fat till ye be full, and drink blood till ye be drunken, of my facrifice which I have facrificed for you. 20 Thus fhall ye be filled at my table with horfes and chariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war, faith the Lord GOD.

21 And I will fet my glory among the heathen, and all the heathen hall fee my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them.

22 So the house of Ifrael fhall know that I am the LORD their God from that day and forward.

2 In the vifions of God brought he me into the land of Ifrael, and fet me upon a very high mountain, by which was as the frame of a city on the fouth.

3 And he brought me thither, and, behold, there was a man whole appearance was like the appearance of brafs, with a line of flax in his hand, and a measuring reed; and he flood in the gate.

4 And the man faid unto me, Son of man, behold with thine eyes, and hear with thine ears, and fet thine heart upon all that I fhall hew thee; for to the intent that I might fhew them unto thee art thou brought hither: declare all that thou feeft to the houfe of Ifrael.

5 And behold a wall on the outfide of the houfe round about, and in the man's hand a measuring reed of fix cubits long by the cubit, and an hand breadth; fo he measured the breadth of the building, one reed; and the height, one reed.

23 And the heathen fhall know that the houfe of Ifrael went into captivity for their iniquity: because they trefpalf- 6 Then came he unto the gate which ed against me, therefore hid I my face looketh toward the east, and went up the from them, and gave them into the hand ftairs thereof, and measured the threibold of their enemies: fo fell they all by the of the gate, which was one reed broad; fword. and the other threshold of the gate,which was one reed broad.

24 According to their uncleannefs and according to their tranfgreflions have I done unto them, and hid my face from them.

25 Therefore thus faith the Lord GOD, Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole houfe of Ifrael, and will be jealous for my holy name;

26 After that they have borne their shame, and all their trefpaffes whereby they have trefpaffed againft me, when they dwelt fafely in their land, and none made them afraid.

27 When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies' lands, and am fanctified in them in the fight of many nations;

28 Then fhall they know that I am the LORD their God, which caufed them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there.

29 Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out!

7 And every little chamber was one reed long, and one reed broad; and bes tween the little chambers were five cubits; and the threshold of the gate by the porch of the gate within was one reed.

8 He measured alfo the porch of the gate within, one reed.

9 Then meafured he the porch of the gate, eight cubits; and the poits thereof, two cubits; and the porch of the gate was inward.

10 And the little chambers of the gate eastward, were three on this fide, and three on that fide; they three were of one measure and the poft had one meafure on this fide and on that fide.

11 And he measured the breadth of the entry of the gate, ten cubits; and the length of the gate, thirteen cubits.

12 The space alfo before the little chambers was one cubit on this fide, and the fpace was one cubit on that fide: and the little chambers were fix cubits on this tide, and fix cubits on that fide.

15 Ile measured then the gate from the

Chap. xl. roof of one little chamber to the roof of another: the breadth was five and twenty cubits, door against door.

14 He made also posts of threescore cubits, even unto the poft of the court round about the gate.

15 And from the face of the gate of the entrance unto the face of the porch of the inner gate, were fifty cubits.

16 And there were narrow windows to the little chambers, and to their pofts within the gate round about, and fikewife to the arches: and windows were round about inward: and upon each poft .were palm trees.

17 Then brought he me into the outward court, and, lo, there were chambers, and a pavement made for the court round about: thirty chambers were upon the pavement.

18 And the pavement by the fide of the gates, over against the length of the gates, was the lower pavement.

19 Then he meafured the breadth from the forefront of the lower gate unto the forefront of the inner court without, an hundred cubits eastward and northward.

20 And the gate of the outward court that looked toward the north, he meafured the length thereof and the breadth thereof.

21 And the little chambers thereofwere three on this fide and three on that fide; and the polts thereof and the arches thereof were after the measure of the first gate: the length thereot was fifty cubits, and the breadth five and twenty cubits.

22 And their windows and their arches and their palm trees, were after the measure of the gate that looketh toward the eaft; and they went up unto it by feven steps; and the arches thereof were before them.

23 And the gate of the inner court was over against the gate toward the north, and toward the caft; and he measured from gate to gate an hundred cubits.

24 After that he brought me toward the fouth, and, behold, a gate toward the fouth: and he measured the pofts thereof and the arches thereof according to thefe ineafures.

25 And there were windows in it,and in the arches thereof round about, like thofe windows the length was fifty cubits, and the breadth five and twenty cubits. 26 And there avere leven steps to go up to it, and the arches thereof were before them and it had palm trees, one on this fide, and another on that fide, upon the posts thereof.

27 And there was a gate in the inner court toward the fouth; and he measured from gate to gate toward the fouth an bundred cubits.

of the temple. 677 28 And he brought me to the inner court by the fouth gate: and he measured the fonth gate according to these measures :

29 And the little chambers thereof, and the posts thereof, and the arches thereof, according to these meafures; and there were windows in it and in the arches thereof round about: it was fifty cubits long, and five and twenty cubits broad.

30 And the arches round about were five and twenty cubits long, and five cubits broad.

31 And the arches thereof were toward the outer court; and palm trees were upon the pofts thereof: and the going up to it bad eight fteps.

32 And he brought me into the inner court toward the eaft: and he measured the gate according to thefe meatures.

33 And the little chambers thereof, and the pofts thereof, and the arches thereof, were according to these meafures and there were windows therein and in the arches thereof round about: it was fifty cabits long, and five and twenty cubits broad.

54 And the arches thereof were toward the outward court; and palm trees were upon the pofts thereof, on this fide, and on that fide: and the going up to it bad eight steps.

35 And he brought me to the north gate, and measured is according to these measures;

86 The little chambers thereof, the posts thereof, and the arches thereof, and the windows to it round about: the length was fifty cubits, and the breadth five and twenty cubits.

37 And the poits thereof were toward the outer court; and palm trees were upon the posts thereof, on this fide, and on that fide; and the going up to it bad eight steps.

38 And the chambers and the entries thereof were by the pofts of the gates, where they wathed the burnt offering.

39 And in the porch of the gate were two tables on this fide, and two tables on that fide, to flay thereon the burnt offering, and the fin offering, and the treipafs offering.

40 And at the fide without, as one goeth up to the entry of the north gate. were two tables and on the other fide, which was at the porch of the gate, were two tables.

:

41 Four tables were on this fide, and four tables on that fide, by the fide of the gate; eight tables, whereupon they slew their facrifices.

42 And the four tables were of hewa tone for the burnt offering, of a cubit and an half long, and a cubit and an half broad, and one cubit high: whereupon alfo they laid the intruments where

with they flew the burnt offering and the facrifice.

43 And within were hooks, an hand broad, faftened round about and upon the tables was the flesh of the offering. 44 And without the inner gate were the chambers of the fingers in the inner court, which was at the fide of the north gate; and their profpect was toward the fouth one at the fide of the eaft gate baving the profpect toward the north.

45 And he faid unto me, This chamber, whole profpect is toward the fouth is for the priests, the keepers of the charge of the house.

:

46 And the chamber whofe profpect is toward the north, is for the priests, the keepers of the charge of the altar thefe are the fons of Zadok among the fons of Levi, which come near to the LORD to minifter unto him.

47 So he measured the court an hundred cubits long, and an hundred cubits broad, foursquare; and the altar that was before the house.

48 And he brought me to the porch of the house, and meatured each poft of the porch, five cubits on this fide, and five cubits on that fide: and the breadth of the gate was three cubits on this fide; and three cubits on that fide.

49 The length of the porch was twenty cubits, and the breadth eleven cubits; and be brought me by the fteps whereby they went up to it: and there were pillars by the posts, one on this fide, and another on that fide.

9 The thickness of the wall, which was for the fide chamber without, was five cubits: and that which was left was the place of the fide chambers that were within.

10 And between the chambers was the widenefs of twenty cubits round about the house on every fide.

11 And the doors of the fide chambers were toward the place that was left, one door toward the north, and another door toward the fouth and the breadth of the place that was left was five cubits round about.

:

12 Now the building that was before the feparate place at the end toward the weft was feventy cubits broad; and the wall of the building was five cubits thick round about,and the length thereof ninety cubits.

18 So he measured the house, an hundred cubits long; and the feparate place, and the building, with the walls thereof, an hundred cubits long;

14 Alfo the breadth of the face of the houfe, and of the feparate place toward the eaft, an hundred cubits.

8 Then went he inward, and measured the poft of the door, two cubits; and the door, fix cubits; and the breadth of the door, feven cubits.

So he measured the length thereof, twenty cubits; and the breadth, twenty cubits, before the temple: and he faid unto me, This is the most holy place.
