This set is in two volumes, though there are three volume sets also. This is still the best commentary on the Psalms ever written. Every preacher planning to deal with the Psalms needs this set. Electronic versions are available, though I have not found them as useful as the actual books. Läs hela recensionen

Sida 89 - Thou, even thou, art LORD alone: thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee.
Sida 307 - The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul : the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
Sida 90 - Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.
Sida 349 - The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.
Sida 292 - For innumerable evils have compassed me about : mine iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to look up ; they are more than the hairs of mine head : therefore my heart faileth me.
Sida 235 - Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.
Sida 3 - And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. The ungodly are not so, but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
Sida 286 - Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low ; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth; 6 And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.
Sida 51 - For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.
Sida 11 - The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, 3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
