13 So shall thy goodness charm the King,
Because he is the Lord;
Hosannah to Emanuel sing,
And humble be to God.

14 Ye matrons and you fathers all,
Him grateful homage pay;

So shall the wealthy nations call
Upon the Lord alway.

15 Then shall thy daughters be more fair
And precious than pure gold;

No treasure can with them compare
When wisdom they unfold.

16 God's sons and daughters shall be brought Unto his heavenly court;

All who from Christ protection sought
Find him a rock and fort.

17 The true followers of the Lamb,
In yonder world of light,
Shall flourish in Jerusalem,
And praise be their delight.

18 Then through the palace of their King,
With joy on every side,
Sweet hallelujahs shall ring,
And perfect peace abide.

19 The Lamb, through all eternity,
Shall o'er the blest preside,
And rule in all his majesty,
His saints placed by his side.

PSALM XLVI.

1 O God! our refuge in distress,
And present aid when straits oppress,
Although the earth removed be,
With patient eyes I'll look to thee.
2 Though mountains in the sea be cast,
With waters roaring frightful past,
On Christ undaunted I'll depend,
Who is our kindest and best friend.
3 The city of the Most High God
Will pleasant streams my soul afford
Of living water from the spring,
And cause my grateful heart to sing.
4 God in his holy temple dwells,
His glory and his power it fills;
The royal throne of God above
Is full of glory, peace, and love.
5 Earth may rage tumultuously,
But God will reign triumphantly;
And when he thunders with his voice,
The rebels shall no more rejoice.

6 The Lord of hosts our helper is;
He constantly our wants supplies;
The Governor in heaven and earth,
And Lawgiver to us till death.

7 May we with our immortal tongues Sing praise to him in divine songs; And render thanks for all things done, By sending his beloved Son.

8 Deny thyself, take up his cross, For he did suffer for our loss; In agony he did atone

For all the ills that we have done.

9 A sacrifice for us he made,

Then in the silent tomb was laid;
Our Saviour soon did rise again,
And peace for war does still maintain.
10 Most worthy is he to receive
Honour and glory, we believe.
Upon his merits we depend
For pardon at our latter end.
11 On earth exalted he shall be,

His eyes on earth does all things see;
Be pure in heart, and see the Lord,
Thoughts of the heart he will record.

12 Firm in his covenant abide,

Then he will in thy soul reside;
The Lord of hosts exalt on high,
On wings of faith up to him fly.

PSALM XLVII.

10! PRAISE the universal King,
Your joyful voices to him raise;
Present your grateful thanks, and bring
To him repeated cheerful praise.
2 The heathen he will still subdue,
Though they his holy name deny;
At Jesus' name their knee shall bow,
Repenting still to him they'll fly.
3 Our Shepherd shall for ever dwell
With humble souls that are upright;
Opposing notions he will quell,
And in his faithful sheep delight.

4 The Lord of glory is gone up

To heaven, where laurels crown his head; His harvest promises a crop

When sounding trumpets wake the dead. 5 Sing hymns of praise unto our God, Devoutly unto him sing ye, And celebrate his praise abroad, Jehovah God, our Lord is he.

6 He on his throne of holiness

Does rule the nations from on high; Express his praise with thankfulness, Who rules in earth above the sky.

7 Ye mighty princes of the land, Assemble in his holy place,

And mercy ask at God's own hand, And riches of his heavenly grace. 8 For why ?-they to the Lord belong, Their property to him pertains; Therefore to him due praise prolong, While here the lamp of life remains. 9 But, hark! the trumpet calls the dead At resurrection of the just,

To give account to Christ, our Head, Our Advocate, and great High Priest.

PSALM XLVIII.

1 'Tis Christ is our foundation-stone,
Hosannah to the Holy One;
Great is the Lord, and good is he,
Praise give the Holy Spirits Three.
2 Sion, the joy of every land,
Most beautifully it does stand;
The city of our holy King,

With praises on each side does ring.
3 Great God! within her palaces
A well-known refuge ever is;
With wonder we behold the same,
And call upon our Saviour's name.
