been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider. Isaiah lii. 13, 14, 15. Thus saith the Lord; I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth and the mountain of the Lord of hosts the holy mountain. Thus saith the Lord of hosts; There shall yet old men and old women dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, and every man with his staff in his hand for very age. And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in the streets thereof.

Zechariah viii. 3—5.

And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications; and they shall look upon ME whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness

* Mourn! Wherefore should they mourn for Him, un. less that they had rejected Him and crucified Him, at his first coming? See Zech. xiii. 6. "And one shall say unto Him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends." He came unto his own, and his own received hiin not. John i. 11. ExCEPT I shall see in his hands the print of the nails (iron hold-fasts or spikes. Abp. Usher.) and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe. John xx. 25. Then saith He, (the Messiah, that day week after his resurrection,) Reach hither thy finger, and behold, MY HANDS ; and reach hither thy hand and thrust it into my side; and be not faithless but believing. John xx. 27.

for him, as one that is in bitterness for his first born. In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem....All their families that remain, every family apart, and their wives apart. Zechariah xii. 10, 11, 14.

In that day shall the branch of the Lord be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel. And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem: When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem, from the midst thereof by the spirit of Judgment, and by the spirit of burning. And the Lord will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defence. And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the day time from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain. Isaiah iv. 2—6.

And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord. And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be

quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh. Isaiah lxvi. 23, 24. Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched Mark ix. 46, 48. And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison; And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the Beast and The false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. Rev. xx. 7-10.

4.-The Parallel between all Israel's deliverance from Egypt and their final Restoration, more particularly set forth.*

According to the days of thy coming out of the land of Egypt, will I shew unto him marvellous things. Micah vii. 15.

The previous part of this work being printed before I formed the design of giving in full this parallel, it will be forced upon me to make some repetitions, however undesirable.
