Vesting land in

other lot or parcel of land in the Town of Summerside and particularly described in Schedule "B" hereunto annexed and by a certain agreement of sale and purchase bearing date the nineteenth day of July, A. D. 1915, expressed to be made by and between the Board of School Trustees of Summerside thereto of the one part and one Winsloe J. Lidstone of Summerside aforesaid thereto of the other part the said The Board of School Trustees of Summerside did for the consideration therein expressed agree to sell to the said Winsloe J. Lidstone and the said Winsloe J. Lidstone did agree to purchase of and from the said The Board of School Trustees of Summerside the said lot or parcel of land mentioned and described in said Schedule "B" hereunto annexed and there is now due and owing in respect of the said lot or parcel of land for principal money and interest under and by virtue of the said agreement the sum of three hundred and fifty dollars.

AND WHEREAS the said two lots or parcels of land and premises are no longer being used for school purposes, and it is desired to vest all the estate, right, title and interest of the said The Board of School Trustees of Summerside in and to the said two lots or parcels of land in the Town of Summerside subject to the payment of the said sum of five hundred and twenty-five dollars.

BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Lieutenant Governor and Legislative Assembly of the Province of Prince Edward Island as follows:·

1. That from and after the passing of this Act all the estate, right, title and interest in and to the said lands referred to and described in Schedule "A" hereto now vested in the said The Board of School Trustees of Summerside and all benefits of the aforesaid agreement of sale and purchase are hereby vested

in the Town of Summerside subject to the payment of the said sum of five hundred and twenty-five dollars.

2. That from and after the passing of this Act the vesting land in said lot or parcel of land hereinbefore referred to and described in Schedule "B" HERETO IS HEREBY vested in fee simple in the Town of Summerside, but subject to the terms of the said agreement made by and between the said The Board of School Trustees of Summerside and the said Winsloe J. Lidstone.

That the said Town of Summerside shall have

for and all intents and purposes the same powers of holding and of granting, selling, assigning and conveying the said two lots or parcels of land hereby vested as are now conferred on the said Town of Summerside under and by virtue of 3 Edward VII. Chapter 18 Section 1.

4. That the said Hon. Neil McQuarrie and John conveyance A. Brace as such trustees as aforesaid are hereby authorized to accept the said Town of Summerside. as purchasers of the said lot or parcel of land mentioned and described in Schedule "A" hereto in lieu of the said The Board of School Trustees of Summerside and on the payment of the said sum of five hundred and twenty-five dollars with accrued interest thereon to execute a conveyance of the said lot of parcel of land to the said Town of Summerside.

SCHEDULE "A"

All that plot, piece or parcel of land and premises situate, lying and being at Summerside in Prince County in Prince Edward Island bounded and described as follows, that is to say: Commencing at a point set on the north side of Argyle street being in the southwestern angle of a lot of land lately in the occupation of John Callaghan; thence following the northern side of Argyle street westwardly for the distance of one hundred and forty-six feet six inches; thence north twenty-five degrees and twenty-five minutes east one hundred and ninety-three feet or to a line run for the rear of lots fronting on the aforesaid Argyle street; thence following the said rear line south sixty-four degrees thirty-five minutes east one hundred and forty-seven feet or to the northwestern angle of said lot lately in the possession of John Callaghan; and thence south twenty-five degrees twenty minutes west one hundred and ninety-three feet to the post at the place of commencement and being known as the Western School property.

SCHEDULE "B"

All that certain plot, piece or parcel of land and premises situate, lying and being at Summerside in Prince County in Prince Edward Island bounded and described as follows, that is to say: Commencing on the southerly side of Ottawa street in the east line of a lot of land formerly owned by Harry P. Wood and now owned by E. H. Monkley; thence running south along the said east line ninety feet to the north line of land of William B. Mills; thence east along said north line one hundred and eighty-seven feet to the west line of land formerly owned by Mrs. Bryenton and now owned by Winsloe J. Lidstone; thence north along said west line ninety feet to Ottawa street aforesaid; and thence west along Ottawa street one hundred and eighty-seven feet to the place of commencement and being known as the Eastern School property.

CHAPTER 12.

An Act to amend an Act to incorporate the
Town of Georgetown

(Assented to April 26th, 1918.)

E IT ENACTED by the Lieutenant Governor

Prince Edward Island as follows:

1. Section 40 of the Act George V., Chapter 29, intituled "An Act to Incorporate the Town of Georgetown" is hereby amended by adding thereto the following:

(d) All ballots by which votes have been given for less than three candidates for councillor.
