LOCAL LAWS.

AN ACT

To erect School District, number ten, in the township of Portage, and county of Summit.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Ohio, That a school district to be denominated school district, number ten, be and the same is hereby erected and established in the township of Portage, and county of Summit, comprising the territory in said township of Portage embraced in the following boundaries, to wit: beginning at a point in the south line of Portage township, thirteen chains and six links west of the east line of lot, number five, in tract number eight, in said township; thence north one hundred and seven chains and seventy four links to the Pennsylvania and Ohio canal; thence eastwardly along said canal about fifty three chains to the east line of land sold by Charles W. Brown to Eliakim Crosby, in tract number seven; thence south fifteen chains and six links to the Old Forge Road; thence east six chains and sixty three links; thence south eighty seven chains and thirty six links to the south line of Portage township; thence west along said township line sixty one chains and ninety three links to the place of beginning, containing six hundred and fifty one acres of land, be the same more or less, any thing in the act entitled "an act for the support and better regulation of common schools, and to create permanently the office of superintendent," passed March seventh, one thousand eight hundred and thirty eight, provided, among other things, that every incorporated city, town or borough, not otherwise especially regulated by charter, shall be a separate school district, and any thing in the act entitled "an act to divide the town of Akron, in Portage county, into two school districts," passed March eighteenth, one thousand eight hundred and thirty nine, to the contrary notwithstanding.
