Mr. King presented a petition of inhabitants of the county of Dorchester, in the State of Maryland, praying that a new collection district may be es-. tablished out of the present district of Vienna, and that the port of entry for the same may be fixed at some convenient place; which petition was referred to the Committee on Commerce.

Mr. Wickliffe presented a memorial of inhabitants of Frankfort, in the State of Kentucky, praying that provision may be made for rendering the Ohio river navigable at all s asons of the year for small steamboats, from its mouth to the city of Pittsburg; which memorial was referred to the Committee of the Whole House to which is committed the bill (No. 440) for the improvement of the navigation of the Ohio and Mississippi rivers.

Mr. Wickliffe presented a petition of inhabitants of the State of Kentucky, praying that an appropriation may be made sufficient for the complete repair of the Cumberland road from Cumberland to Wheeling.

Mr. Thomas Irwin presented a similar petition of inhabitants of the State of Pennsylvania.
