Amend by adding the following section: "None of the provisions of this act shall be construed to apply to or affect the collection of the municipal revenue of any city, the collection of whose revenue is now wholly made under and by virtue of any special charter of such city heretofore granted by the legislature of this State."

The amendmend was read first and second times and agreed to, and the bill, as amended, ordered engrossed.

Substitute for Senate bill No. 11, entitled "An act to amend chapter 62 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri, entitled 'Of recorders of deeds,"" was taken up, and Senator Bryant offered the following amendment, which was agreed to:

Amend by adding after the word "deputies," in lines 25 and 44, the following: "Provided, however, that in counties where said recorder keeps an office in more than one place, the said recorder shall turn over to the county treasurer all fees received by him in excess of the sum of four thousand dollars, after paying out of such fees and emoluments such amounts for the hire of deputies and assistants in his office as the county court may deem just and proper."
