CHAP. VI.

ANd it came to pass, when

men began to multiplyt on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them.

2 That the fons of God faw the daughters of men, that they were fair, & they took them wives of all which they chofe.

3 And the LORD fald, My spirit thal not always frive with man, for that he alfo is fleh: yet his days hall be an hundred and twenty years.

Tons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them; the fame became mighty men, which were of old, men ofrenown.

14 Make thee an ark of Gopher-wood, rooms fhalt thou make in the ark, and fhale pitch it within and without with pitch.

19 And of every living thing of all fleth two of every fort thalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee: they shall be male and female.

20 Of fowls after their kind, and of cattel a ter their kind: and of every creeping thing of the earth after l:is kind. two of every fort thal come unto thee, to keep them alive.

21 And take thou unto thee of all ood that is eaten, and thou thalt ga ther it to thee; and it thall be for food for thee, and for them,

22 Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, fo did he.

CHAP. VII.

ANd the LORD faid unto

Noah, Come thou and all thy houfe into the ark: for thee have 1 feen rightecus before me in this generation.

20 fevery clean beaff thou fhalt take to thee by fevent, the male and his female: and of beaft that are not clean, b two, the male and his female.

3 Of fowls alfo of the air by fevens, the male and the female, to keep feed alive upon the face of all the earth. okto

4 For yet feven days,and I will caufe it to rain upon the earth, fourty days, and fourry nights: and every

6 And Noah was fix hundred years old, when the Bood of waters was upon the earth.

7 And Noah went in, and his fons, and his wife, and his fons wives with him into the ark; becaufe of the waters ofthe flood. 48 Of clean beafts, and of beafts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth,

9 There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the temale, as God had commanded Noah.

10 And it came to pafs af. ter feven days, that the warers of the Bood were upon the earth.

11 In the fix hundredth year of Noahs life, in the fecond moneth, the feventeenth day of the monethe the fame day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were ope

12 And the rain was upon the earth fourty days and fourty nights.

19 And the waters prevaj led exceedingly upon the earth,and all the high hills that were under the whole heaven, were covered.

20 Fifteen cubits upward did the water prevail; and the mountains were cove red..

21 And all fleh died,thae movedupon the earth,both of fowl, and of cartel, and ofbeaft,and of every creeping thing that creeperh upon the earth, and every man.

16 And they that went in, went in male and female of all fleth, as God had commanded him and the Lord But him in.

22 All In whofe noftrits was the breath oflife, of all that was in the dry land died.

23. And every living fubftance wasdeftroved, which was upon the face of the ground, both. man, and cattel, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were de froyedfrom the earth:and: Noah only remained alive and they that were with him in the ark.

24 And the waters preval, led upon the earth an hundred and fifty days.

CHAP. VIIL

ANd God remembred No

ah, and every living thing, and all the cattel that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pars over the earth, and the waters affwaged.

2 The fountains alfo of the deep, and the windows of heaven wereftopped,and the rain from heaven was restrained.

3 And the waters returned from off the earth continually: and after the end of the hundred andfifty days, the waters were abated, 4 And the ark refted in

5 And the waters decreafed continually, until the tenth moneth: in the tenth aneth, on the first day of the moneth, were the tops of the mountains feen.

6 And it came to pa's ar the end of fourty days,that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made.

7 And he fent forth a raven, which went forth to and fro, until the waters were dried up from off the earth.

SALO he fent forth a dove from him, to fee if the, warers were abared from off the face of the ground,

9 But the dove found no reft for the fole of herfoot, and the returnd unto him Into the ark; for the waters mere on the face of the whole earth. Then he put forth his hand, and took her,and pulled her in unto him into the ark.

10 And he ftaved yet other feven days, and again be fent forth the dove out of the ark

II And the dove came in to him in the evening, and lo, in her mouth was an olive-leaf pluckt off: So No. ab knew that the waters ware abated from off the earch.

12 And he flayed yet other feven days, and fent forth the dove, which rerurned not again unto him any more.

13 And It came to pass

in the fix hundred and first year, in the first monetb,the fird day of the moneth, the waters were dried up from off the earth: and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and be hold the face of theground was dry.

14 And in the fecond moneth, on the feven and twentieth day of the mo netb, was the earth dried.

15 And God fpake unto Noah,faying,

16 Go forth of the ark; thou,and thy wife, and thy fons, and thy fons wives with thee.

17 Bring forth with thee every living thig that is with thee of allAeth, both of fowl, and of cartel, and e very creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, that they may breed abum dantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply up on the earth.

18 And Noah went forth," and his fons, and his wife. & his fons wives with him: 19 Every beaf, ever creeping thing,and every fowl, and whatfoever creepeth. upon the earth after their kinds, went forth out of the ark.

20 And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD. and took of every clean beaf, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt of. ferings on the altar.

21 Andthe LORD fmelled a fweet favour, and the LORD faid in his heart, I will not again curfe the ground any more for mans. fake; for the Imagination of mans heart is evil from his yourh: nelch r will I again fmite anymore every thing living,as I have done

22 While the earth remaineth, feed-time, and harvest, and cold,and hear and fummer, and winer, and day, and night, thal not cease.

CHAP. IX.

ANd God bleffed Neah

and his fons, and fald unto them, Be fruitful,and multiply, and replenish the earth.

2 And the fear of you,and the dread of you, fhall be upon every beat of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the fea; into your hand are they delivered. 3 Every moving thing
